Do you love getting cash back? If so then credit cards that offer cash back as a loyalty are best for you. Cash back cards reward you with a certain percentage of what you spend. The bank's do this by crediting you with the cash back amount back on to your card, thus reducing your overall spend.

Every issuer will have their own respective policy. Some card providers will offer cash back on all transactions, some may offer it only at grocery shopping, others on fuel, and lastly others at certain stores.

Cash back's offered by the bank is mostly subject to terms and conditions. Cash back are mostly capped at a certain amount; this means there is a  maximum cash back limit a card holder can qualify for in a given month. For example if your card has a 5% cash back on a maximum spend of PKR 10,000 in a given month. You only qualify for PKR 500 in the form of cash back in the month you spend.

When you find the right credit card that matches your needs, you need to ensure that you meet the minimum criteria of the bank offering the card. Some of the general minimum criteria's of banks are as follows:

  • You must be a minimum age of 21 years for a primary card, and 18 years of age to qualify as a supplementary card holder
  • Have a valid national ID card (CNIC)
  • Have a stable stream of income, by virtue of being a salaried individual or self employed.
  • Have good credit standing and not be in default of any loan or credit facility from any financial institution.
